その、メロスはねむらずにむらかえりました。むらいたのは、つぎぜんでした。もうむらひとそとごとはじめていました。メロスのいもうとごとをしていました。いもうとつかれているメロスをおどろきました。メロスはいました。「だいじょうだ。ところで、まちにまだようがある。またすぐにまちもどらなければならない。明日あした、おまえ結婚式けっこんしきをしよう。きれいなふくってきた。さあ、むらひと明日あした結婚式けっこんしきをするとらせにきなさい。」いもうとはとてもよろこびました。メロスはいえかえり、結婚式けっこんしきようをしました。メロスはベッドにたおれてねむってしまいました。

English Translation

On that day, Melos went back to the village without sleeping. When he arrived at the village it was the next morning. People in the village had already started working outside. Melos’ younger sister was also working. She was surprised by seeing the tired Melos. Melos said, “All right. By the way, I still have things to do in town. I have to be back in town soon. Tomorrow, let’s hold your wedding. I bought beautiful clothes. Now, go let people in the village know that we’re going to hold your wedding tomorrow. ” She was very glad. Melos went home and prepare the wedding. Melos fell down on the bed and went to sleep.
