Japanese Grammar Exercise: Making Negative Requests 「…ないで」

This is not a translation exercise. This is the Instantaneous Composition Exercise. As if a reflexive action, try to create an equivalent Japanese sentence shortly after reading an English script. Try not to think for more than three seconds.

起こさないでくれますか?
Could (you) not touch (me)?
触らないでくれますか?
Could (you) not show the picture?
絵を見せないでくれますか?
Could (you) not start the game? (lit. Could (I have you) not start the game?)
試合を始めないでもらえますか?
Could (you) not do that? (lit. Could (I have you) not do that?)
それをしないでもらえますか?
Please don’t make noise.
騒がないでください。
Please don’t get angry.
怒らないでください。
Please don’t come.
来ないでください。
Please don’t ask.
聞かないでください。
Please don’t wait.
待たないでください。
Note
「くれますか」 and 「もらえますか」 have almost the same meaning in Japanese. You can express them in a more polite tone using the negative form like this: 「ないでくれませんか」.
