Japanese Grammar: はずだ 違いない かもしれない

Before starting the exercise for expressing certainty and uncertainty 「はずだ」「違ちがいない」「かもしれない」, please clarify any doubts you may have about the grammatical rules by referring to your grammar guidebook or dictionary. The Instantaneous Composition Method requires you to compose sentences with the target sentence pattern(s) over and over in order to use them almost effortlessly. You should already have the necessary knowledge.

Instantaneous Composition Exercise for Expressing Certainty and Uncertainty「はずだ」「違ちがいない」「かもしれない」

This is not a translation exercise. This is the Instantaneous Composition Exercise. As if a reflexive action, try to create an equivalent Japanese sentence shortly after reading an English script. Try not to think for more than three seconds.

A child should be like (his/her) parent. 
子こ供どもは親おやに似にているはずです。 
(My) friend should be coming soon. 
友ともだちはもうすぐ来くるはずです。 
(It) should not be all right.
大だい丈じょう夫ぶなはずがありません。 
This meal must be delicious. 
このごはんは美味おいしいに違ちがいありません。 
Nomo-san must be good at baseball. 
野茂のもさんは野や球きゅうが上じょう手ずに違ちがいありません。 
Takeda-san must be in Japan. 
武たけ田ださんは日に本ほんにいるに違ちがいありません。 
This may taste bad.  
これは不味まずいかもしれません。 
(I) may be cured (from sickness). 
治なおるかもしれません。 
As for the party, (I) may not go. 
パーティーは行いかないかもしれません。
(I) may not travel this year. 
今こ年としは旅りょ行こうをしないかもしれません。 

Note

When you say something objectively, 「はずだ」 is more suitable. When you say something subjectively, 「違ちがいない」 is more suitable.
